Problem Statement

Sanae Orchi, a Netherlands-based influencer and coach, needed a personal website that mirrored the aesthetic and functionality of a benchmark site she admired while still standing out as a unique reflection of her brand. The challenge was to create a digital space that blended her professional identity with a sophisticated user experience, maintaining consistency with the benchmark design while incorporating her distinct personality and content style.

How I Start This Project

I began by thoroughly analyzing the benchmark site to identify its core elements and key design principles. Then, I worked closely with Sane to understand her personal brand, voice, and goals. Using this knowledge, I developed a tailored design that captured the essence of the benchmark site but incorporated custom touches like unique typography, tailored color schemes, and personalized content sections. The final result was a polished website that maintained familiarity for her audience yet introduced fresh elements that showcased Sane’s individuality as a coach and influencer.

Challenge on this Project

  • Benchmark Adherence with Originality: Ensuring the design resonated with the benchmark site while making it uniquely hers was a balancing act. It required strategically modifying certain elements to maintain the inspiration without direct replication.

  • Translating Abstract Brand Identity: Sane’s branding was not fully defined at the beginning, so distilling her vision into a concrete visual language was challenging. This required iterative feedback sessions to clarify and align on the brand’s visual tone.

  • Content Structuring and Organization: Given her dual roles as an influencer and coach, organizing content in a way that highlighted both aspects equally, without overshadowing one, was a key challenge in the project’s UX strategy.
